Nauru is a small island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean, around 2,500 km northeast of Australia. It has a population of around 11,000 people and the official language is Nauruan. The majority of the population are Christians, with some other religious denominations also present.
Nauru does not have an official military force but does maintain a police force for internal security and law enforcement. The police force consists of around 50 personnel and is responsible for maintaining law and order on the island.
