The cliffs of Pamukkale

The exotic Pamukkale cliffs, which offer natural mineral baths, bring variety to ordinary beach days. The warm water pulping from the source of a special nature site is quite calcium-rich, and when cooled, the water forms a hard limestone surface.

The limestone has hardened into the shape of pools, which makes visiting easier and makes the area quite a photographic swimming spot.

The cliffs of Pamukkale are one of the most popular excursion destinations in the surrounding area. The whitewashed cliffs of the flowing water are a photographic bathing place and the mineral-rich water is said to work wonders.

Pamukkale is about 200 km away and offers day trips. Next to the cliffs you will also find the ruins of a historic amphitheater and a beautiful natural pool – so pack a swimsuit!

The ruined city of Ephesus

The historic city of Ephesus offers culture for the whole holiday, as there is plenty to explore in the ruins of the ancient city. The city, now an open-air museum, is known to have been inhabited as early as 8,500 years ago, and over the millennia, among others, the emperors of the ancient Roman Empire have roamed the streets of the city of Ephesus.

Historic Ephesus is about 250 km from Marmaris and offers day trips. Archaeologists digging new finds can also be spotted in Ephesus.
