Tuvalu Military

Tuvalu is a small island country located in the Pacific Ocean and is known for its lack of military and defense. The Tuvaluan Security Forces (TSF) are the only military branch in the country and consist of only a small police force. The total active personnel stands at around 200 personnel, with no reserve forces. Tuvalu has a very low defense budget compared to its GDP as it spends about 0.02% of its GDP on defense. As such, Tuvalu does not import any weapons from other countries and instead relies solely on its police force for any security issues that may arise within the country. Despite this, Tuvalu has strong ties with other countries in the region such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Samoa which allows them to cooperate militarily when needed. As a result of this peaceful presence in the region Tuvalu has become an important regional player in security issues and is able to maintain peace and stability within the Pacific Ocean effectively. See naturegnosis to learn more about the country of Tuvalu.
